Abdominal Elevator

The Abdominal Elevator (AE) is a thin film sterile surgical device used to retract the large abdominal pannus during surgical procedures involving the mid to lower abdomen.

In 2017, the CDC reported Obesity in the United States had reached an all-time high of 40%. Surgery performed on obese patients has always been a challenging experience for surgeons. There have been a variety of less than perfect improvisations used to facilitate retraction and exposure to the operative field in the morbidly obese patient.

The Abdominal Elevator provides a sterile and easy to apply means of abdominal pannus retraction. The ease of application, less than 20 seconds, cannot be matched by any other abdominal pannus retraction device.
